Photography to Work of Art - Wild Colouration
Artist Statement
Wild colouration is a photograph displaying an image of two young girls standing side by side behind pine trees outside with illustrated images on top of the faces. This photograph demonstrates the connection between humans and nature, and how the connection between them creates colour and life to earth, as many try to help to improve the environment and the wildlife. The natural world and its wildlife contains water, air, vegetation, and animals and humans are part of nature and interact with these components constantly in order to live life. In order to demonstrate this message, I chose to watercolour the butterflies, and flowers which is one of the traditional ways of painting that I used and then I scanned the paintings to transfer onto the photograph through Photoshop CS6. After this, I used the brush tool on Photoshop CS6 in white to create the plant sprout and deer antlers, this create a variety of colour contrast in the photo in front of a green background.
