Part C) Take a Photo
Based on part b), I was very satisfied with my set-up of my photo and how the focal point of the Canadian geese were the main components that was drawn to the viewers. I do not tend to use models because I feel that there are many other ways to represent the human life through inanimate objects, however without the model, the setting and environment is very crucial. I photograph in the landscape orientation because it gives the illusion of space (depending on the image) which gives me the advantage to create the rule of thirds, which is one component that is visually appealing to audiences. I like to shoot my photos from close and far angles because it gives me the freedom to experiment and incorporate different elements into a photo to make it original and unique.
I chose this photo to best represent my variety of photographic works and style because I like to take dark photos and capture its conceptuality like elements that they bring to my photographs while consisting of vivd colours in front of a dark background (usually in a night cityscape setting). I frequently like to take close and far out images to see what kind of elements I am able to incorporate in my photos, and create different forms and shapes. I use the brightness and darkness of the photo to represent a significant message by contrasting the two and harmonizing both of them to convey an overall message to the viewers. This particular photo displays an image of a lit contemporary/modern chandelier in a dark room into a rule of thirds photograph. The light is being reflected onto the curvatures, arcs, and stems of the chandelier, therefore creating interesting patterns of the reflections and displaying unique shapes.
