Personifying static objects can be represented in a number of abstract and explicit ways. This allows the viewers to understand the personal nature of human and living characteristics through a photograph. For this project, I decided to photograph an image of an shattered egg cut in half consisting of small valuable jewellery. In todays society many people neglect the value the living organism inside eggs. It is a natural human instinct for many of us to consume eggs either from chickens, ducks, or quail eggs. The jewels placed inside and outside the egg white represents the high value and worth of a living organism, in this case a chicken. Chickens are living organism, just like humans, however many of us disregard their value in nature and we begin to collect these eggs for food. Therefore this photograph represents the life of an egg.
To successfully capture this white balanced and symbolic photograph, I used a tripod and Nikon D3200 from a bird's eye vantage point. The element of the vantage point creates a simple and clean photograph while using a white background, this allowed me to demonstrate my message through a serene bright photograph. I decided to scatter the egg shells around the egg to portray the concept of corruption. This photo juxtaposes with the concept of corruption and the life of nature. I placed the egg and jewelry in this placement because the the hole inside the egg demonstrates depth.
